This 3,000 square foot clinic is one of the North Shore's premier Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Physical Therapy clinics. This facility, formerly known as ProEx Physical Therapy, was designed to meet patients' needs, featuring state-of-the-art equipment, a comfortable atmosphere with abundant natural sun light, and a friendly and experienced staff.
Situated just north of Route 95, our convenient location on Rt 114 allows us to serve the physical therapy and sports medicine needs of numerous towns and cities around Middleton Massachusetts. We are located on Rt 114, accessible from MA-128, I-95 and US-1 by taking Rt 114 W/Andover St toward Middleton. The clinic is located less than 2 miles northwest of US-1 on Rt 114. The 215 South Main Street building is marked with a red stripe on the top and will be on the eastbound side of Rt 114. Access to the parking lot is via Rundlett Way.
Laura Berube is the founder and former owner of Legacy Physical Therapy in Amesbury MA.
Laura has 14 years experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist specializing in the evaluation and treatment of Orthopedic injuries, dysfunction, and post-surgical rehabilitation. She received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology in 1997 and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2000, both from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Laura has had extensive post-graduate training in manual therapy, primarily through courses offered by North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy(NAIOMT). She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Private Practice Section and the Orthopedic Chapter. She has been a clinical instructor mentoring Physical Therapy students from area colleges. Laura believes in providing holistic care to promote health and wellness. In addition to skilled manual therapy techniques, she incorporates medical exercise therapy principles with therapeutic yoga and pilates techniques to enhance recovery. Outside of the clinic, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, or attending yoga and pilates classes. In the winter she tries to keep up with the family on the ski slopes!
Rob received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Union College in 1991. He then earned his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in 2000 followed by his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from MGH Institute of Health Professionals in 2005. Rob completed an additional 2 years of manual therapy training and earned his certification as an Orthopaedic Manual Therapist (OMT) and is also a full fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). He has been working in the North Shore in outpatient private practice since 2002. Rob's clinical specialties include orthopedics and the spine. Originally from Marblehead, MA, Rob currently resides in Hamilton, MA with his wife and two children. In his free time Rob enjoys mountain biking, hiking, water sports, skiing and working on projects around his house.
Steve is a staff Physical Therapist working from the Middleton location. He received a Bachelor of Science and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Boston University. Steve presented at the Combined Sections Meeting in Anaheim, California and the Mass APTA Annual Conference in Norwood, Massachusetts earlier this year with the poster presentation “Are Repeat Lower Extremity Pathology a Common Occurrence in Out Patient Orthopedics?” Originally from Randolph, New Jersey, Steve now lives in Boston. His volunteer endeavors include the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk. In his spare time he enjoys coaching athletics, track and field and ultimate Frisbee.
Lauren joins ProEx as an Exercise Technician and Front Desk Specialist in the Middleton location. In this dual role, she assists staff physical therapists with patient program and also greets patients, obtains authorizations and referrals and oversees the clinic schedule. Lauren is a graduate of the Lasell College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. Originally from Middleton, She now lives in Danvers, where in her spare time she enjoys exercise, going to the gym and shopping.
Lior received a bachelors of science in kinesiology and a minor in psychology and brain sciences from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Prior to joining ProEx as an exercise technician and front desk specialist she was a fitness instructor at her universities gym, a teacher’s assistant in an upper level kinesiology course, and a member of one of the UMass dance teams. In her dual role, she assists staff with patient programs, obtains authorizations and referrals, and oversees the clinic schedule. Lior is presently pursing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Her previous experiences include working with premature children in aquatic therapy and with out-patient sports injuries. In her spare time she is an active volunteer with the local Habitat for Humanity. Lior enjoys spending time at the beach, kickboxing, and with her family and friends.
Coleton is an exercise technician and front desk specialist in the Middleton location. In this dual role, Coleton assists staff physical therapists with patient programs and also greets patients, obtains authorizations and referrals and oversees patient scheduling. Graduated from Merrimack College in North Andover with a degree in Exercise Science. Cole was a personal trainer for faculty at his college for two semesters. Coleton Lives in Methuen, and enjoys spending his free time surfing, rock climbing and enjoys photography.
