Athletes at All Levels to Benefit from Sport-Specific Strength and Conditioning Training Programs HAMPTON, EPPING, PORTSMOUTH AND STRATHAM, NH, ISSUED May 6, 2009 ProEx Physical Therapy and Seacoast United, New England’s premier indoor sports complex, will offer an 8-week strength and conditioning summer program for athletes of all levels. ProEx PT, a popular local physical therapy company, is partnering with Seacoast United to offer the very latest techniques and comprehensive approaches to sport conditioning for athletes of all ages and skill levels. “If you’re serious about preparing for your next season of competition, our summer strength and conditioning program is the best around to help you achieve that goal. There’s no comparison,” explains Paul Willis, Executive Director of Seacoast United. “It doesn’t matter what sport you play, you always need to be working on your strength, speed and agility to get competitive advantage.” “Our strength and conditioning program is tailored for the athlete looking to improve his or her performance in the upcoming seasons,” said ProEx Strength Coach Corey Mastin, who is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. “We have had great results with this program at our affiliated sites in Massachusetts and look forward to offering this well established program to seacoast athletes. ” The primary strength and conditioning program is open to athletes aged 13 and older. ProEx is also offering a fundamentals program to athletes 8-12 years of age. The sessions involve a combination of strength training, cardiovascular training, flexibility, speed, and agility work. Two-day per week and four-day per week programs are offered. All training sessions are held at Seacoast United Indoor Sports Complex at 311 Winnacunnet Road in Hampton. “Our program is unique in that we are staffed with professionals who understand the physical demands of each specific sport,” explained Mastin. “We design our conditioning programs utilizing cutting edge techniques, incorporating body awareness and strict attention to safety”.
