ProEx Sponsors Keep Springfield Beautiful 10K Road Race

On Sunday, May 13th ProEx teamed up with Keep Springfield Beautiful (KSB) at their 1st Annual 10K Road Race. KSB is Western Massachusetts' premier nonprofit organization promoting litter and graffiti prevention, recycling, conservation and beautification of Springfield.

The purpose of the road race was to showcase the hard work that was done on May 1st, where more than 800 volunteers planted trees and flowers, and removed more than 55 tons of trash and debris from illegal dump sites and city streets, all orchestrated by KSB.

The race began at 9am on Mother's Day at the Basketball Hall of Fame. From there participants raced through various neighborhoods taking in the historical sites and unique architecture of the Victorian mansions.

The ProEx tent was set up outside the Basketball Hall of Fame where runners were encouraged to stop by for a pre and post stretch or if they had questions for a physical therapist on a sports-related injury.

“This was a great day,” said Tina McDonald, Regional Clinical Director at ProEx. “I'm so proud of the work that has been done by Keep Springfield Beautiful, and I am happy we could contribute to their noble endeavors."
