ProEx Educates Beginner Runners


ProEx has once again joined forces with Barbara Petersen, NSCA-CPT of Tone-Fitness for Life. Dan Thomas and Jess McManus, both ProEx physical therapists, spoke to a group of beginner runners that make up Swazey Striders. Swazey Striders, created by Petersen, is an 8 week conditioning running program for the beginner runner which provides the support, education and motivation needed to finish a 5k road race. Their lecture, which took place on Tuesday, April 17th at 6:15pm in Exeter, touched upon typical running overuse injuries and covered symptoms, prevention, and early warning signs.

"Both Jess and I had a great time speaking to this group," said Thomas, Clinic Manager of ProEx Stratham. "They were enthusiastic about learning ways to prevent injuries, which is key to a long term running career."
