ProEx announces that Benjamin Barron, MSPT of York, ME has been promoted to Director of Work Injury Management Services.
In this role, Barron will oversee the ProEx Work Injury Management product, an innovative program that develops and implements comprehensive rehabilitation services specifically for those sustaining work-related injuries. Available at all ProEx clinics throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire, the program focus is on effectively and efficiently delivering care to injured workers in order to facilitate their return to work.
“The physical demands of jobs vary,” said Barron. “For example, a police officer or firefighter face physical demands at work different from a person in retail or computer programming. The ProEx Work Injury Management program addresses those individual needs, bridging the gap between traditional physical therapy services and the functional requirements of an individual’s job in order to help people return to work.” Said Barron, “It’s a tremendous opportunity to be named to this post; I’m honored to oversee this exceptional program, one that falls perfectly in line with the ProEx clinical philosophy that embraces individualized clinical treatments.”
Barron earned both his Bachelor of Science in Health Studies and Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Boston University. Prior to joining ProEx in June, 2009, he worked extensively in pediatrics, orthopedics, and sports medicine throughout the Boston Metro area.
A former adjunct faculty member at Boston University’s Sargent College, Barron is also the former Acting Clinical Director at Boston University’s Physical Therapy Center.
“It is with great pleasure that we announce Ben as Director of Work Injury Management Services,” said Mike Mulrenan, Founder and CEO of ProEx Physical Therapy. “His exceptional clinical and communication skills make him the perfect choice for this key leadership role within our organization.”
