The Somersworth, NH clinic, formerly known as ProEx Physical Therapy, is a 2,900 sq. ft. facility established in 2010, and is our third clinic in the Southern New Hampshire reigon.
Our convenient location directly off of NH-16 allows us to serve the physical therapy and sports medicine needs of numerous towns and cities around Somersworth. FROM THE SOUTH Take I-95N, Exit 5 toward US 1 Bypass/Portsmouth Circle. Travel .5 miles. At round about take the third exit onto NH-16N Spaulding Turnpike/US-4W. Travel on NH-16N for 7 miles, then take Exit 9 toward NH9/NH108/Somersworth/Dover onto Indian Brook Road for .8 miles. This turns into High St. 475 High Street is on the left. Joe, Co-owner and Regional Clinical Director for ProEx Physical Therapy, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1995 and completed a one year residency program in orthopedic manual therapy. In 2008, Joe became certified by Workwell Occupational Health Systems to focus on the rehabilitation of the industrial work setting through functional capacity evaluations. He specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries and treatment of the spine. Joe has over 14 years of experience working with Olympic, Collegiate and High school athletes in the field of physical therapy, and designing customized fitness programs. Joe completed formal training to become a Certified Pedorthist, specializing in foot and ankle injuries and the utilization of shoe modifications and orthotic management. Joe is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Private Practice, and the Orthopedic Chapters of the APTA. Joe's dedication to the field of physical therapy is exhibited everyday in the knowledge and training he provides to his staff and the personal attention and care he conveys to his patients.
Michael, Clinical Director for Professional Physical Therapy in Somersworth, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Studies, as well as his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University. He is also certified by Workwell as a Quality Provider. Michael's clinical specialties include Management of Temporomandibular Disorders (TMJ/TMD), evaluation of injured workers through Functional Capacity Testing, Work-Fit Tests and evaluation of potential employees through Pre-Work Screens.
Brandon is a Front Desk Specialist/Exercise Technician at our Somersworth location. Brandon attended the University of New Hampshire receiving his degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science in 2017. Prior to joining the ProEx team, Brandon was a Fitness Program Associate at UNH where he maintained the overall gym, and also as a personal trainer. Turmelle volunteered at many locations, including UNH Cardiac Rehab and Spaulding High school Ski team. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, skiing, tennis and disc golf.
