The Somersworth NH ProEx Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine clinic is a 2900 sq ft facility established in 2010. This clinic currently operates with two physical therapists, one exercise technicians and additional support staff. The Somersworth NH location is third clinic opened in the Southern NH Region.

Directions:

FROM THE SOUTH Take I-95N, Exit 5 toward US 1 Bypass/Portsmouth Circle. Travel .5 miles. At round about take the third exit onto NH-16N Spaulding Turnpike/US-4W. Travel on NH-16N for 7 miles, then take Exit 9 toward NH9/NH108/Somersworth/Dover onto Indian Brook Road for .8 miles. This turns into High St. 475 High Street is on the left.

FROM THE WEST Take I-393E to Dover Rd/NH-9E/US-4E/US-202E for 16 miles. Take a slight left onto Rochester Rd/NH-9/US-202E for 7 miles. Turn left onto NH-16S for 7 miles. Take Exit 9 toward NH9/NH108/Somersworth/Dover onto Indian Brook Road for .8 miles. This turns into High St. 475 High Street is on the left.

Joe Dattilo, PT,
Regional Clinical Director -S. NH

Joe, Co-owner and Regional Clinical Director for ProEx Physical Therapy, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1995 and completed a one year residency program in orthopedic manual therapy. In 2008, Joe became certified by Workwell Occupational Health Systems to focus on the rehabilitation of the industrial work setting through functional capacity evaluations. He specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries and treatment of the spine. Joe has over 14 years of experience working with Olympic, Collegiate and High school athletes in the field of physical therapy, and designing customized fitness programs. Joe completed formal training to become a Certified Pedorthist, specializing in foot and ankle injuries and the utilization of shoe modifications and orthotic management. Joe is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Private Practice, and the Orthopedic Chapters of the APTA. Joe's dedication to the field of physical therapy is exhibited everyday in the knowledge and training he provides to his staff and the personal attention and care he conveys to his patients.

Ryan Higgins,
Physical Therapist

Ryan joins ProEx with ten years of experience as a Physical Therapist; previously he was a Physical Therapist and Center Manager for Saco Bay Physical Therapy. Ryan graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Masters in Physical Therapy and is a certified Orthopaedic Manual Therapist. Originally from Chico, California, Ryan makes his home in York, Maine with his wife and child.  In his spare time he enjoys running and playing hockey.

Steve Swasey, PTA,
Physical Therapy Assistant

Steve graduated from Denver Technical College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in 1995. His clinical experience includes Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital in patient care on the orthopedic, neurosurgery and cardiac care unit and the Catholic Medical Center where he worked on the inpatient rehab medicine unit and also in their out patient orthopedic clinic. Steve gained extensive experience with patients suffereing from head and spinal cord injuries as well as stroke patients. He is currently progressing his professional growth with the ProEducation series and additional courses outside the company. Steve is blessed with two daughters who are very involved with sports including both playing soccer for Seacoast United Premiere a Nike sponsored club and currently playing at a national level.

Kaitlyn Hay,
Exercise Technician

In this role, under the supervision of a physical therapist, Kaitlyn will instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients with their therapeutic exercise programs. Kaitlyn joins ProEx after receiving a degree in Athletic Training from the University of Southern Maine.

Kayla Thornton,
Front Desk Specialist

Prior to joining ProEx, Kayla was Lead Care Facilitator at a family health center. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Plymouth State University. Kayla lives in her hometown of Dover, NH.  Her volunteer efforts include work with St. Vincent de Paul and the Flutie Fest for Autism Awareness at Plymouth State University.  In her spare time Kayla enjoys dancing, event and wedding planning.
