Joe, Co-owner and Regional Clinical Director for ProEx Physical Therapy, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1995 and completed a one year residency program in orthopedic manual therapy. In 2008, Joe became certified by Workwell Occupational Health Systems to focus on the rehabilitation of the industrial work setting through functional capacity evaluations. He specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries and treatment of the spine. Joe has over 14 years of experience working with Olympic, Collegiate and High school athletes in the field of physical therapy, and designing customized fitness programs. Joe completed formal training to become a Certified Pedorthist, specializing in foot and ankle injuries and the utilization of shoe modifications and orthotic management. Joe is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Private Practice, and the Orthopedic Chapters of the APTA. Joe's dedication to the field of physical therapy is exhibited everyday in the knowledge and training he provides to his staff and the personal attention and care he conveys to his patients.
Jon works as the Clinical Director in Exeter, NH, and was previously treating patients in Professional's Somersworth clinic. He received a Bachelor of Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Boston University. Jon is an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist. Originally from Farmington, New Hampshire, Jon now lives in Epping with his wife and son. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, fishing, biking and camping.
Paul Heaps is a Physical Therapist and Director of the Exeter clinic. Paul received his BS degree from the University of New Hampshire and Physical Therapy degree from New York University. Paul was past Director of Rehab at Exeter Hospital from 1979-1981 and Owner and Director of Exeter Hampton Physical Therapy for the past 35 years. Paul has received advanced training in orthopedic and manual therapy. He has worked closely with area physicians providing post-operative and post injury rehabilitation for orthopedic, spine and sports related injuries. Paul is an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.
Ann Italia is a Physical Therapy Assistant based out of our Exeter Hampton location. Ann is a graduate of Plymouth State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Athletic Training. She has a Master’s in Sports Medicine from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, AL, and an Associate’s Degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant from the NH School of Technology. When Ann is not working at Professional, she enjoys organic gardening, tai chi, hunting, fishing and reading
