This brand new 2,500 square foot state of the art facility is currently staffed with two physical therapists and exercise technicians. Tina McDonald, MS, PT received her masters degree in Physical Therapy from American International College in Springfield, MA in 2003. Tina is licensed in the state of Massachusetts and Connecticut. Tina is currently a member of the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association with primary interests in Sports and Orthopedic injuries and injury prevention. She is in the process of pursuing a certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Tina believes that patient education is vital to recovery and gives patients the tools to prevent future injury. While offering her expertise in exercise prescription and manual therapy, she maintains a fun and relaxing environment.
Dave obtained a Bachelor of Health Science in 2011, and Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013 from Boston University. His final project to obtain his DPT consisted of a case study and evidence based treatment progression for a multi-structure knee injury in a college lacrosse player. Dave completed Level one and Level two of the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy which is an intensive 2 year post doctorate fellowship program focusing on bio-mechanics and evaluation and treatment of spine and orthopedic pathology. He also completed the Boston University Orthopedic Manual Therapy program, and obtained the status of Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (FAAOMPT). In addition to patient care, Dave is currently a teaching assistant in the Boston University Physical Therapy Program Spine course, and also teaches an annual seminar for 3rd year doctorate students on Evidence Based Thoracic Manual Therapy and it's implications with back pain, neck pain, and overhead throwing athletes.
Phil is a full-time Athletic Trainer, working at Arlington Catholic High School. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a Certified Exercises Specialist and a Performance Enhancement Specialist; he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Bridgewater State University. Prior to joining ProEx, Phil was a Minor League Athletic Trainer with the Pittsburgh Pirates; previously he was an Athletic Trainer with the Oakland Athletics and interned as an Athletic Trainer with the Boston Red Sox. In 2014, he was honored as Professional Baseball Athletic Society Athletic Trainer of the Year. Phil is fluent in Spanish and Greek and has volunteered with the Pro-Am Golf Tournament, an event that benefits the Francis Ouimet Fund. Originally from Needham, Massachusetts he now lives in Norwood where in his spare time he enjoys golfing, coaching and wrestling.
