ProEx Physical Therapy, a growing multi-site physical therapy practice, is seeking a multi-tasker with outstanding customer service skills to help us keep our busy office running smoothly and make every patient feel special. Key responsibilities will include the following:
Greet patients and answer phones
Manage all appointment scheduling
Collect, review, and enter all new patient information
Collect, record, and deposit patient payments
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, filing, and other administrative functions
Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports
Assist physical therapists during patient appointments
Ensure patient safety while performing exercise programs
Communicate effectively with staff on patient progress
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
At least two years’ medical office experience or involvement in an exercise science/physical therapy aide role.
High school diploma
Strong technical skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Electronic Medical Record software strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Physical Therapist Assitant (PTA)
Administers patient treatments under the direction and plan of a licensed physical therapist according to state practice acts.
Documents patient care based upon company’s and profession’s standards and regulations.
Regularly communicates with patient, patient’s family (if appropriate), and referring physician in regards to patient’s progress.
Completes all necessary correspondence to insurance providers in order to facilitate reimbursement for services rendered.
Attends and actively participates in staff meetings.
Provides care in a manner consistent with governmental rules and regulations, including HIPAA.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Two-year degree in physical therapy assistant program from an accredited college.
Physical Therapy Assistant license in all states where employee works.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
1) Ability to demonstrate all activities to patients and use all equipment.
2) Ability to support patient’s weight sufficiently to assist patient to stand or perform activities.
3) Ability to work flexible and extended hours to complete job responsibilities and accommodate clinic staffing needs.
4) Ability to operate computer for several hours with appropriate rest periods.
5) Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Must be able to operate computer for most of workday with appropriate rest periods.
